Promotion is allowed only with moderator permission (or inside designated threads). A short, honest modmail before posting costs two minutes and functions as a safe-conduct pass; skipping it is the most common avoidable removal.

Dominant post formats: question, discussion, guide
Headline = device + concise symptom (e.g. “Windows 10 laptop won’t boot after update”); write in first person. Post 1–4 short paragraphs with system specs, exact error messages, steps already tried, photos/logs. Tone = factual, polite, troubleshooting-focused. Upvoted: clear reproducible problems and helpful follow-ups; removed: vague posts, requests for account/password help, or any overt ads/recommendations.
