Promotion is allowed only with moderator permission (or inside designated threads). A short, honest modmail before posting costs two minutes and functions as a safe-conduct pass; skipping it is the most common avoidable removal.

Dominant post formats: showcase, discussion, question
Headline: concise descriptive title (ProjectName — what it does / PSA / question). Write in first person when sharing a project (“I built…”); give context, use plain technical language, include screenshots, links, and short setup/usage notes. Typical length: short-to-medium (50–400 words). Tone: practical, helpful, non-salesy. Upvoted: real self-hosted projects, useful how-tos, PSAs, configs and lessons learned. Removed: vague “check out my app” posts with no details or effort.
