Use first person for your own project work, neutral third person for papers/news. Post length: 1–3 short paragraphs + images or data links. Tone: technical, helpful, citation-rich. Upvoted: beautiful/raw imagery, shared datasets, reproducible workflows, clear troubleshooting Qs. Avoid link-only posts or obvious ads; message mods before obvious self-promotion.
