Promotion is allowed only with moderator permission (or inside designated threads). A short, honest modmail before posting costs two minutes and functions as a safe-conduct pass; skipping it is the most common avoidable removal.

Dominant post formats: discussion, question, showcase
Title: clear, first-person headline (problem, milestone, or tool). Body: 300–1500 words is common — give background, steps taken, concrete examples, and ask a specific question or request feedback. Tone: candid, helpful, slightly informal. What gets upvoted: detailed career stories, thoughtful questions, practical takeaways, non-commercial project showcases. What gets removed/downvoted: link-only posts, low-effort spam, and anything that reads like product advertising.
