Promotion is allowed only with moderator permission (or inside designated threads). A short, honest modmail before posting costs two minutes and functions as a safe-conduct pass; skipping it is the most common avoidable removal.

Headline = short, local + location or event (sometimes ALL CAPS). Write in first person or direct address; posts are brief with one photo/link and a short description. Tone casual, local, occasionally outraged or sarcastic. Upvoted: timely local news, good photos, helpful warnings, community wins; avoid blatant ads unless you’ve cleared it with mods.
