Promotion is allowed only with moderator permission (or inside designated threads). A short, honest modmail before posting costs two minutes and functions as a safe-conduct pass; skipping it is the most common avoidable removal.

Headline: short, specific — what you made/asked and which software (e.g. “Glow effect in After Effects — technique + settings”). Use first person for portfolio/showcase (‘I made…’) or an explicit question for help. Keep body concise: one-line description, tools, key settings, and a preview image/video; link to full tutorial/demonstration if needed. Tone: constructive and technical. Upvotes: clear showcases, tutorials, focused questions; removed: business-name titles or vague promo posts.
