Promotion is allowed only with moderator permission (or inside designated threads). A short, honest modmail before posting costs two minutes and functions as a safe-conduct pass; skipping it is the most common avoidable removal.

Headline: short, factual (no hype). Use first-person for personal experience, neutral third-person for news/analysis. Keep body concise (1–3 short paragraphs) with a single link + summary. Tone: technical, respectful, evidence-based. What gets upvoted: thoughtful discussion, timely news, technical insight — top spots are the pinned Daily General Discussion threads. What gets removed: drive-by promotion, obvious spam, price memes outside daily thread.
