Promotion is allowed only with moderator permission (or inside designated threads). A short, honest modmail before posting costs two minutes and functions as a safe-conduct pass; skipping it is the most common avoidable removal.

Dominant post formats: showcase, discussion, question
Headline: short, first-person or direct-question (I / My / Why does...) that highlights a milestone, complaint, or request. Body: usually a few paragraphs for stories, or a short anecdote/complaint. Tone: friendly, earnest, sometimes frustrated or humorous. Upvotes reward personal milestones, heartfelt posts, bug reports and feature requests; avoid off-topic advertising or blatant self-promotion without prior mod approval.
